[CyberTOPS] A little venting tonight

Before I begin with this post I want to apolgize I have a lot to vent about
tonight and I would much rather typed out my feelings then eat out my
feelings. I'm trying to learn new way to deal with my anger, and yes after you
read about what happened to me you would be upset too.
 
This afternoon I headed down to the bank and deposited a check into
my account. When I got home I was looking at my receit from the bank and it
said that my account was at a negative 12.00. I was like what the heck
is going on. I mean first of I had just put a check into the bank and I knew
before that my account was okay.
 
Okay so while I was at home I looking my account up online and it said
something about Return Deposit Item. A couple weeks ago I had deposited a
check into my account and today that same amount was taken back out again for
some kind of a return. When I saw what had happened I was boiling mad. I mean
I was ready to spit nails.
 
I drove back down to the bank and spoke with the manager. After several
minutes and making several phone calls she was able to figure out exactly what
happened. All of the checks, at least here in the United States, no matter
what bank you go to, end up at a centralized location. At that centralized
location the employee's working there type in the information on the check
(check #, routing #, etc) Well the person who typed in the numbers from the
check that I had deposited had transposed a couple of the numbers. Since the
numbers didn't match up, the check was no good.
 
Okay so now what about my money? That was my next question to the manager. She
told me no and that the bank would issue me another check. Which comes from
that centralized location.  She told me that it takes 3 - 5 business days for
me to get the check in the mail. With this holiday on Monday it most likey
won't come until next Friday. So once I found out that I was getting my money
back I felt  lot better.
 
The manager at my bank told me that they had no way of tracing who typed in
the information from my check, which really makes me angry. I'm sorry I know
the people are going to make mistakes on the job, but when it comes to a
think a person check which is needed for bills that's serious business.. And
the person who did this needs to be fired, sorry I know that's cruel but I was
really upset when this had happened to me.
 
I bet your asking yourself did this have any effect with my eating? It did not
I stuck with my food plan and did really well today.
