My dad had a hemotoma earlier this year.   He's doing very well but his
recovery will take time.   His was a subdural hemotoma.   His neurosurgeon
said that if you have to get a hemotoma that a subdural is the one to get
because they can get at it a lot easier than they can an epidural.    The
area the doctor had to cut out of his skull is about the size of a golf
ball.

I will have a 2 lb. gain this week but I am okay with it. It hasn't been a
great week for me and I've pretty much only had one meal a day for the last
three days and while that sounds like it would be great for the diet we all
know it isn't. I will do much better next week. I did burn some calories
last night jumping up and down for Kris Allen when he won AMERICAN IDOL! The
entire season I watched I could not STAND Adam Lambert and I could not
understand what everyone saw in him. I tried, I really did, but I just
didn't see it. My mom and grandmother LOVED Adam and wanted him to win.
<sticking out tongue to them> When Kris Allen won I jumped up, screamed,
clapped, did a jig, flew into a pushup, ran around the apartment, went up
and down the stairs, jumped off the balcony, sat down to rest, and fell off
the couch. I WAS THAT THRILLED!!! And I needed something HAPPY like that to
happen because it's been a bad week. TV makes me happy sometimes!

I am going to visit my friend in the hospital again later today. She found
out yesterday she has a hematoma in her brain and has to have surgery. I was
like OMG....what else??? I'm still praying and she is still positive and
upbeat and saying, "I'll be fine!" and with the prayers I'm sure she will
be. Can't wait to see her again. Thanks for all the wonderful e-mails. I'm
VERY behind reading them but I will get to them for sure!
