Can you please put my best friend Velvet on your prayer lists? She went to
the
doctor a couple of weeks ago because of stomach pains and the doctor ordered
labwork and an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed cysts on her kidney's and
and
the labwork came back abnormal so the doctor sent her straight to the ER.
She
went to the ER yesterday and was admitted to Medical ICU with acute renal
failure and anemia! :( She's 29. Only 3% of her kidney's are working and she
has to go on dialysis 3 times a week starting soon. She now needs a kidney
transplant! I am still in shock and awe about this because she's my buddy
and
always so much fun and healthy and we always hang out and party together and
I
just can't believe she is this sick this fast. She had no idea. She's
feeling
great and looking good (I visited her 3 times today) and they are putting in
the port and doing the dialysis tomorrow. Hopefully she'll get moved to a
regular non ICU room tomorrow and I can bring her flowers and balloons and
cards and teddy bears and everything else!!! They also have to get her BP
down
because it is REALLY high. I hope it goes down after the dialysis. She had
to
have 3 bags of blood yesterday! :( I have been praying a lot for her. I had
a
good cry this morning but now I am just praying a lot and hoping for the
best
and being there for her as much as I can.
