[CyberTOPS] installation dinner at restaurant (or Christmas)

In our chapter we each pay for our meal when we go out for Christmas.
Because we are so small we can't afford to pay full price for everyone.
However the chapter usually takes care of part of the bill. Say the cost
per person is $15.00 then the member pays $10.00 and the chapter picks up
the other $5.00 plus the tip for the restaurant. It is fair and everyone
benefits.

Subject: [CyberTOPS] installation dinner at restaurant (or Christmas)
I know I have read on either this site or another one about chapters holding
either a Christmas dinner, awards dinner or installation dinner at a
restaurant. When this is done, does everyone pay their own way, or can the
chapter pay if there are funds available. We are looking for some way to
let
everyone get something back for all the hard work they put in for fund
raisers, etc. Some of it is used for people who attend SRD, etc. but we
have
some members who for one reason or another are unable to attend.
We are going to start talking about by law changes tomorrow night so I would
like to bring this up but don't know if it is ok or not. Please e mail me
at
this group or to my individual e mail.
Thanks, Carolyn
