Hello all

I am sorry that I have not been participating with the group, but I have
been under a lot of stress lately.  This past week a family friend of many
years died from cancer.  He was only 45 years old which is the same age as
my oldest son.  They were good friends.  We grieved all week for him and
finally had a service for him on Saturday.

Then Saturday night about 1:00 am I got a call from niece who was hysterical
  She finally got out that my sister was at the local hospital and that she
was coughing up blood and they said she had cancer in her lungs.  The lesion
in her lung was very close to an artery and they were afraid that the artery
might burst so they decided to send her to a hospital in Kingston by
ambulance about 60 miles away.  She was so scared and I couldn't go with her
because my husband was still very upset about the funeral earlier in the day
and didn't want to b e left alone. He has been very depressed and anxious
since his TIA.

I stayed up all night worrying about her and so as a consequence I was very
tired and almost ill myself the next day.  I had to go to her and we drove
down on Sunday.  She has been upgraded from critical to stable and now we
can only wait until they do a biopsy of her lung and run some other tests.

I am emotionally and physically exhausted and would ask for your prayers
please.  I will try to let you know what is going on next time I am able.
Thanks for listening.  I have been out of control with my eating since about
Wednesday last week and I am sure it will show at my next weigh-in.
