This is what I'm having done right now....

24 Hour pH Study
This is a method of recording the acid content in the esophagus (swallowing
tube) over a 24 hour period. [It is abnormal to have acid enter the esophagus
and when this occurs it is known as GERD - gastroesophageal reflux disease].

A small tube is placed in the nostril and attached to a light weight, small
recorder. This tube has special tranducers that record the pH level in the
swallowing tube for a 24 hour time period. The patient returns the recorder in
24 hours, the information is placed on a computer and the doctor reviews and
analyze.

I had it put in at 4 p.m. and I can't wait to have it taken out tomorrow at 4
p.m. It doesn't hurt it's just VERY annoying and uncomfortable. People go
through a lot worse in this world but man I don't care for this! LOL! I'm
supposed to eat and drink and go about my daily activities but I'm scared to
eat or drink anything cause it feels WEIRD! LOL! Everytime I swallow it moves
the cord in my nose and it feels terrible. I am always worried about pulling
it out in my sleep! My doc says that won't happen. I just keep saying I can do
this, I can do this, I can do this....FEAR FACTOR BABY! LOL! I hope this shows
something and gives my ENT an idea of what's going on and why I always have to
clear my throat. If that happens then all this "crap" will be worth it.

I'm watching a horrible movie called Bug. If you see it on or etc. DON'T watch
it. It's horrible. I want this past 1 hour and 45 minutes of my life back
thank you very much! LOL!

Mother nature is a big tease. It's been thundering for over an hour now but
nope....no rain....and we sure do need it. My car said 110 when I got in after
the doctor. I was burning up because I had a sweatshirt and a hood on hiding
this thing hanging out my nose! LOL! I was like a bank robber or something
walking Jordan after I got home cause I didn't want anyone to see it. Sad huh?
