[CyberTOPS] In a quandary

Last year I refused to go to our chapters BBQ.  Seeing what all of them
planned to bring it made me uncomfortable last year.... and since my daughter
had just had her wisdom teeth out, I used that as an excuse.. This past year I
have seen them bring donuts to TOPS functions, and pig out after each
meeting...  Also the folks that are putting it on, last year bought a big
sheet cake to celebrate the summer, and provided steak, and sausages to bbq.
At different times we had our two food functions that were allowed... the
folks that put on the BBQ also brought in choc. chip brownies to feed us...
not a healthy item at all.  I stood up to them and said NO this can't go on..
(heck the guy lost both his legs, knees down, due to his type 2 diabetes)  I
said at TOPS functions we must chose to be healthy and eat healthy... I feel
like I am battle a monster...

So this year to get out of the "TOPS function" mode..... they planned this for
a non tops night... Last night at our meeting they invited everyone, those who
have email where also invited that way.  When I said will this be our 2nd
annual BBQ, they said "THIS IS NOT A TOPS FUNCTION!, Just friends getting
together having fun"  My thoughts label it anything you want, but it is tops
pals getting together.  I liken it to calling a cow a bovine.... I didn't say
cow did I, I am calling it a bovine.... so it isn't a cow.... LOL

I am not going to go... I just don't want to appear judgmental of my chapter,
but it is really irritating what they are doing...
