I just wanted to write everyone and tell you all THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all
the wonderful responses to my PRAYER REQUEST and my SURGERY UPDATE e-mails I
sent out regarding my mother's surgery. It was very, very touching and
overwhelming and I wanted to say thanks and let you all know that you are
ALL amazing!! Prayers were answered. She made it through the surgery just
fine and is cancer free and her doctor said she is doing great and will be
going home tomorrow. She's had this mass on her right thyroid about 7 years
now so I am so glad it's finally gone. She's in pain sometimes and is tired
because she hasn't slept much (we all know you don't really get a lot of
rest/sleep in this hospital) but she is doing well otherwise. I have to go
back to work tomorrow but as soon as she is discharged I will be there to
take her home and get her settled. The by the book nurse tonight kind of
kicked us out after visiting hours BUT the only reason we left is because my
father has to work really early and I had to wash my work clothes and mom
NEEDED some sleep. Otherwise I would have been like SORRY...WE ARE STAYING!
LOL! I am also hoping this will help with her being able to lose weight.
She's had a rough year and has gained a lot of weight back and no matter
what she does she can't lose it. I hope this adjustment of her thyroid and
the medication she will take will help her. 

 

I have gotten a ton of responses and I'm not able to respond to them all but
just so you know.....they were all read, they were all appreciated, and they
all meant a lot!

cause that's how my name is listed in my aunts cell phone. She couldn't
figure it out so just left it and.....I LIKE IT! LOL!
