I wanted to ask if you would keep my mother in your thoughts and prayers
this week. She is having surgery on her thyroid tomorrow and will be in the
hospital for a few days. I'm taking a couple of days off to be with her but
my father and the rest of the family will also be there. The surgery was set
up two months ago and I can't believe how quickly two months have gone by. I
will have my laptop and cell phone with me in the hospital (I believe they
will have WIFI like our hospital does) so I will keep you all updated. I am
sure she will be just fine. She's tough! She's not worried about the
surgery. She's worried about not being able to do anything for 2 - 6 weeks
afterwards! She always likes to go go go! But she needs the rest so it'll be
fine. She has had a mass on her thyroid for awhile and her new ENT wants to
go in and check it out and remove it. If it's cancerous that will take it
all out but she says there is only a 20% chance that it's cancerous so
that's encouraging.
