Hey Guys and Dolls,
Weight: Lost 0.6 pound (yeah it's small but I'll take it)
Exercise: 12.48 miles
This week for the 15 week challenge we to spent one full day of clean eating.
What is clean eating you ask? Clean eating is bascially defined as no
processed food in other words more real food and less junk. For the most part
I felt that I did prety good; however there were a couple meals where I did
eat something that wouldn't exactly be considered clean. Here are my meals for
my day of "clean eatng"
BREAKAST:
peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal w/
*1/4 Cup quick oats (which I added 1/2 cup water and cooked in the microwave)

So that it was what I ate during my clean eating day. And yes I did have some
things I shouldn't have but like said before for the most part I felt I did
pretty good.
We also have a Workout challenge each week and I finaly was able to do one,
yeah.
The first two weeks I didn't do the Wednesday challenges. They were way to
strunous for my bdy. When I read about this weeks's workout challene I really
felt totally inspied. You see on Tuesday, I didn't workout. I was being lazy
and so I was just going to workout today to make up for it, even though I do
normally take Wednesday off from working out.
This morning when I woke up I had the attitude of "why brother I'll just go
back and hit the gym tomorrow" To be totally honest I was fine with that. Then
I read about the Wednesday challenge and I quickly changed my mind.
This week for workout challenge we have to spent 20 minutes outdoors and run
for part of that 20 minutes. It doesn't matter how far you run, even 30
seconds would be great. The idea for this challeng, well at least the way that
I see it, is to do something outsie of your comfort zone.
I had been jogging before,doing intervals, on the treadmill at the gym;
however I never really have done any jogging outside. So with this challenge I
felt it was the perfect time to hit the trail.
The Los Gatos Creek Trail that is. I walked the first 5 minutes just to warm
up my body. Then without looking at my watch I began jogging. I didn't care
how long I was going to jog for my first round. I just wanted to see how long
I could do without stopping. When I finally did go back to walking I had gone
2.27 minutes. I was so amazed because I had never even jogged that far in one
round on the treadmill. I spent a total of 70 minutes at the trail. Doing
intervals of walking and jogging, mostly walking. I was timing my jogging
times because I wanted to see how long I could jog during those 70 minutes.
In the end I completed 11 minutes of jogging *pats herself on the back* I was
so proud of myself. What really helped me was talking to my legs. As crazy as
that sounds, but giving legs pep talk saying "come on legs, go go go, you can
do it, push it push it push it, remember no pain no gain" Just a few words of
encourgement really pushed me. I completed a total of 2.91 miles today, yeah
me!
Well that's my update for this week.
xoxo,
Katherine
