I don't like the concept of a "no-no" food for several reasons. What is one
person's "no-no" might be another person's "yes-yes." For instance, George
mentioned white bread. There's nothing wrong with having white bread! Yes,
whole grain bread would be better but you can buy pretty decent white breads
and as long as you COUNT it you can eat it.

On a lifestyle change, which is what we are supposed to be on, we can eat
anything we want, the key word is "moderation." If you count the exchanges
or calories you can have whatever you want in that framework. After a while
you realize that, yes, you can have that cookie but for the same amount of
calories you can make a much healthier choice and probably get a lot more
bang/bulk for your calories. However, this is the choice we make within our
own lifestyle plan.

I choose to keep certain foods out of my house because I can't leave them
alone. Those are my personal no-no foods. Someone else may well have a
different list of foods they keep out of their house which may not bother me
at all.

Having said that I'm not aware of an official ruling on no-no foods, but
that's not to say there isn't one, I've just not heard of it. However,
members should not be forced to pay if they eat a no-no food, it should be
voluntary. If they ate that food as part of their diet and counted it it
should not be forbidden.

Anyway, just my 2 cents!

Marguerite
