[CyberTOPS] miles to flordia

I'm not aware of a newsletter.  This is what it says on the TOPS web site:

"TOPS' President, Barbara Cady, has issued a Million
Mile fitness challenge to all chapters. If each chapter
"walks" 1,000 miles from IRD 2008 in Chicago to
IRD 2009 in Orlando, we will reach this Million Mile
goal. Chapters who participate in this challenge will
be eligible to win one of five $100 cash prizes, which
will be presented at IRD 2009! This challenge is
effective immediately and ends May 31, 2009."

This challenge was announced at IRD in July and was effective as soon as IRD
was over, that's what we took "immediately" to mean.  In our area, we were
challenged as field staff to walk the 1,000 miles individually and I started
counting on July 7th, my first day back from IRD.

I've walked 890 challenge miles and so I've almost made it to my 1,000 :-)
