I ad a gain of 3 lbs.   I went to the emergency room Sunday morning when I
woke up to severe pain and redness all over my left foot and up my leg. When
you have a history of blood clots you dont wait to see a dr. if you have
redness and pain in your leg.  They diagnosed cellulitis and   I started
taking the antibiotics they prescribed and followed up with my reg. dr. on
Tuesday as it was not any better.  He changed my antibiotics and gave me a 24
hour acting injection and had me come back Wednesday for another one.  He also
ran blood work.  I got a call today that I  have a higher than normal amount
of uric acid which means I also have a mild case of gout.  So I start on that
medicine Monday taking it 3 days a week.
 
I have all this Christmas stuff to get ready (mainly wrapping gifts)  so I
hope something kicks in and works pretty soon.
 
We had our TOPS Christmas party last nite and I couldn't help set anything up
cause my foot hurt the whole time..  But we really had a good time.  People
talked about their best Christmas ever and then we talked about our most
embarrassing moment.  (This was all voluntary).  So even though I had a sore
foot, it was really a good party.
 
We will not have a meeting until January 14th so I won't have a weigh in til
then.  Perhaps I can lose some of what I gained by then.
