[CyberTOPS] A question about Roll-Call

I sure don't want to cause trouble again but I will relate what I have seen
at different chapter roll calls.
Normal: weight recorder announces name, member responds with "gained 0.2
pounds" group responds with "We're glad your here".

Long; I have seen weight recorder announce name member responds with
" I didn't make my pledge from last week, what was my pledge again?"
"I did lose 0.4 pounds, I will pledge 1 pound for next week"
"I'd like to thank my secret sister for her card, and towel, See!"

This takes a lot longer.

Quickest: I have seen members announce in order around the room "Mary, I
lost 1.2 pounds"
"Jane, I gained"
Very quick because weight recorder doesn't even announce names.

Just some thoughts...

Subject: [CyberTOPS] A question about Roll-Call

Hi Cybertops Friends,

I have a question about roll-call. Hope somebody can give me an answer.

My friend Marcia from the Twinsburg Thurs.night group has a large group now.
They used to be a smaller group and they now have like 10 new members and
heard one guest last night and about 20 members total last night.

Marcia said they she's thinking about omitting roll-call and just announce
the
best loser
of the week. I thought roll-call is mandatory. What do you think?

I told her to omit something else. I know my club doesn't have a dime box
or
a ha-ha box or no 50/50. We just have best loser of the week but we have
roll-call. We even
announce how much we gain or lose and that doesn't bother me. Oh, my club
had
13 weigh-in and 12 of us staye for the meeting yesterday morning.

Have a good Friday and weekend.

TOPS Hugs,

Janice S.from the Richmond Heights OH Thurs.morning group #0063 but
lives in Twinsburg OH (Only 1.50 pounds from reinstated KOPS)
