[CyberTOPS] A question about Roll-Call

Answer to questions...

Yes meeting must have roll call per the chapter guide page 12

However it is not required to have a full business meeting every week but must have them. There is no set time for meetings but 30 minutes sound short to me. My chapter does hour for weighing and hour for meeting. We have around 22 members now (yaay)!

If anyone would like a copy of the guide, please let me know. I can email it to you.

Thanks

So... if I'm reading this correctly, meetings are only 30 minutes long? I
thought meetings were supposed to be an hour. At least that's what I was
told from our AC when I was looking to join. My current chapter's meetings
are only about 15-20 mins long and I don't get much out of them. Which is
one of the reasons a friend and I decided to start a new chapter. They are
wonderful ladies (and gents) but I'm losing my motivation I think.

Would love to know where to find out all these things that a new chapter
would need to know. My AC has been great answering all my questions but
wasn't sure if there was something written in stone somewhere.

Thanks.
Kerry

I think it's very important to have roll call. I can't see why they need
to eliminate something unless they have a lot of extra stuff. Roll call
takes about 30 seconds per person, so 10 mins for roll call. Still leaves
20 mins. for other stuff. If I was them I would extend the length of the
meeting before omitting roll call.

I think roll call is mandatory (too lazy to go look in my book, but I know
there are rules in there about how members respond to roll call).
