Page 6 of Weight Recording Guide states: "The weight Recorder should ask
each member to decide to weigh in with, or without shoes, and continue in
the same fashion throughout the calendar year"
"While sweater, belts, and jackets may be removed before weigh-in, members
should be attired as they wish to be weighed when they reach the scale, so
as not to waste time. Always remember that appropriateness and good taste
are expected"
The last statement seems to be stating...don't wait until you get to the
scales to be weighed to take off items that you don't wish to be weighed.
TOPS use to say - What one wears into the meeting is what they weigh in. Or
something similar to that...I think that may be what is confusing some
people.
There are some members in our chapter, who also change after they get to
the meeting, as they, too, have left work and have on heavy clothes. Some
people wear the same outfit each time to be weighed in..but they are planning
to go somewhere after the meeting; therefore, they go change after being
weighed.
I think George has the right idea....well almost...!...I think modesty is
the key word here...
Then again..this is just my opinion and not an official ruling.
