I would suggest that rather than reward the chapter with dinner and
dessert...you may wish to consider ending the contest with awards and $$
prizes OR give out $5.00 gift cards to the bookstore or something. I think
that we tend to use food as a reward and that is part of what got us into the
trouble we are in to begin with...just a thought!

I may be crazy but I am giving my fellow chapter
members a challenge tomorrow night. After this week we
have 19 weigh-ins left this year. I am challenging each
member to be 19 pounds lighter by December 28, 2009. In
addition to promote sensible, steady, healthy weight loss
they must have a loss for the months of September, October
and November. If a member doesn't have 19 pounds to lose,
they must be a KOPS on December 29th. Everyone that meets
the challenge will have their dinner at Famous Subs (a
fairly inexpensive local restaurant) Monday, January 4th
paid for by me. To sweeten the pot, if anyone loses 20 or
more I will throw in dessert for them.
I typed up the challenge and in the last paragraph I told
them that my pocketbook was laughing at them saying they
couldn't do it. I also drew a picture of a laughing
pocketbook with Ha, Ha,Ha written by it. I put a P.S. that
my pocketbook told me to put the challenge on sky blue cloud
paper because they were just dreaming!
It would be wonderful if at least a few of them made it!
Heck, I want to make it myself!
