Ann,
We all have those weeks when we think we should have lost and we get a gain.

Sometimes it is due to the monthly hormonal fluctuations; sometimes it can
be due to water retention; and sometimes, yes, it's due to we over-ate and
under-exercised.

Another thing, is that I know it is hard to keep a positive attitude... but
you still have to try... you weighed in, you gained, that's over... it's
done; you can't change the past and that weigh-in; but you can look ahead to
the next one.

One of the things that I did for the month of JULY was just keep a food
record.. I didn't do any planning; I didn't count the exchanges or calories
or fat grams or carb grams.. just if I ate it, I wrote it down.   So at the
end of July, I really could see where my trouble spots were.

So for the month of AUGUST, I'm trying something really new for me and that
was to PRE-PLAN just 1 week... meals, snacks, the whole thing... and so far
for this first week it has gone really well... no having to think about what
to eat, it is just look at the plan posted on my fridge and eat what is on
the plan.

I lost 1# this week and that's even with my monthly visit from Mother
Nature.   I hope to lose at least another pound next week.

Right now, I'm just focusing on getting to the next 10 pound mark on the
scale i.e.  220, 210; 180, 170, etc.  I'm not worried about the bigger
picture; just that next zero-marker.
So shake off that "miserable" and work today towards a better weigh-in next
week.
