I believe that TOPS is supose to be a SAFE place. Nobody should ever say
anything about your weight, size, fearures, looks etc.
If you haven't been there for a three months and you gained 50 pounds, its OK.
We welcome you with open arms and hearts.
We have all been there we have all needed help and support. Hopefully we have
all given support to members of our chapter, of TOPS, of cybertops, or just
friends and neighbors.
I don't want to hear "I get no support from my TOPS chapter" Have you given
anyone support?
it is a two way street. You give and you get......
No person should ever say "I don't feel sorry for you". I don't care if I
gained 5 pounds and you ask for help to lose 0.2 pounds. I support you, I'll
help you, I'll encourage you, and I'll cheer for you when you lose that 0.2
pounds. Good for you, you lost it, keep it up.......
If your having trouble losing, I still support you. If you didn't come to the
TOPS meetings you may have gained another 30 pounds. At least your not
gaining. Even if you do have gains I suport you. Why, because I care about
you.
Why am I an Area Captain? because I'm trying to provide a little payback to
TOPS for what TOPS did for me when I was 60 pounds overweight and you helped
me get it off and keep it off.
You all need to help your chapter members, support them and care about them.
It is what makes TOPS work.
I Care
