[CyberTOPS] The calm before the storm (OT)

It seems as though people who live along the coast enter into the hurricane
season each year not knowing how many storms will come or how big. Now that
Gustav is gone from the Gulf of Mexico, here comes Hanna to the Atlantic
coastline. There are several of us cybertops along Georgia, SC and NC coasts
that are watching carefully the forecasts.
The local media announced today that we are in a direct line right now. But as
always, things change. Hurricanes are fickle! That's why they named them after
women for so long, but now, to be politically correct, we get male and female
named storms.
It is a bright sunshiny day for now. Just got back from the gym. But now to
make hurricame preparations. The schools will announce their closings or
whatever cancellations are necessary. Friday night football is already
cancelled. I do not like the rain when I have to go out in it. I'd rather
stay inside. I'm sure everyone is like that. But later on today, I have to
go outside and "batten down the hatches". In other words, I have to make sure
all outside "stuff" is tied down or put up and away.
I have been through many hurricanes in my life. The worst was Hugo in 1989.
I never want to be that scared again. But please pray that the storms pass
over and we are all safe.
I'll keep you posted as to Charleston's forecast. love to all.
