My eating plan is a combination of Canada's food guide,
the exchange plan and the DASH diet.
oatmeal (2 starch)
2 T. flax meal
2 T. raisins (1 fruit)
1 cup milk ( 1 dairy)
1 cup vegetable cocktail (2 vegetables)
baked potato topped with salsa(1 vegetable)
beets, 1/2 cup (1 vegetable)
2 oz steak (1 meat)
apple (1 fruit)
chicken and vegetable soup (1 vegetable, 1 meat)
10 ancient grains crackers (1 starch)
1 cup milk (1 dairy)
Meat = 3
Starch = 3
Fruit = 2
Dairy = 2
Vegetable = 5
