Hey George,

Lucky you, I wish I could spend a Thanksgiving with my mom (not with us 
anymore).

Go with the mind set that Thanksgiving will be fun.  You have the power to 
make it great.
Plan some fun things to do.  You have plenty of time to work it out.

Last year, my daughter  attended the TOPS meeting, before Thanksgiving, with 
me (she was there to support me).  She was visiting me after serving in the 
Air Force in Afganistan.  One of the tips that was put out, at the meeting, 
was to take a walk after you eat that Thanksgiving meal.  We got the idea to 
rent a Christmas movie after we ate.  She insisted that we walk (about a 
mile each way), I still cherish that walk with her.  I think the walk 
helped, I had a weight loss that next weigh-in.

This year, she is serving in the Air Force in Korea.  Maybe I will take a 
walk this Thanksgiving to honor her.
