Gloria,

My son and husband both call me Hollywood groupie.  LOL  When I was in Chicago
over 10 years ago for a convention, Julia Roberts was filming My Best Friends
Wedding.  The night we went to Tommy Guns Garage and came back in this limo
compliments of TGG, the driver pointed out the film set right behind the
Hilton on Michigan Ave where we were staying for the week.  Naturally, we got
right out there and watched them filming one of the scenes.  It took over 2
1/2 hrs and they didn't finish until after 1 am.  Julia walked right by us
with her body guard and dog and I just recently found the picture I took of
her that night.  Another actress in the movie walked right behind us and this
guy standing on the street got her autograph and we asked "who was that?"
Turned out it was Cameron Diaz and we said WHO????  LOL

I think I've seen the movie a bunch of times.  Same with Miss Congenality,
whenever it's on I can point out all the spots from IRD in San Antonio.

Last week I attended a reception and dinner and was standing at the reception
and saw a guy walk in who I knew I had seen on TV and in many movies, but
didn't know his name.  Well Ms. Joan Hollywood here walked over and introduced
myself and said I know I've seen you on TV right?  He smiled and told me his
name, can't remember it now, but turns out he was in Scar Face and played in
the tv show The Profiler.  He's been in 70 movies and was one of the dinner
speakers.  My husband just rolled his eyes when I came home and told him,
funny thing, my husband was a Profiler groupie and I never liked the show but
he knew exactly who I was talking about when I described this "thug looking"
guy.  He was so nice and soft spoken.

I guess we all have our 15 minutes of Hollywood once in awhile.  Deb> From:
