[CyberTOPS] adopt a highway

I encouraged George to have his new chapter Adopt A Highway for the main reason and a big reason - its how I found TOPS and began my weight loss journey! I would like to see TOPS Adopt A Highway signs all across the country - think how many people we could help in the same way this chapter helped me. I was new to the area and gaining weight steadily. I was unhealthy, uncomfortable and unhappy. After seeing that Adopt A Highway sign I knew I needed to check into TOPS - afterall this little community had its own chapter! I went to TOPS.org, found out where they met and went to a meeting. I needed help but was somewhat skeptical of what I might find in this town of 2,000 people. I was so surprised to see over 30 members who welcomed this stranger with open arms! In 10 months I lost 82 1/2 lbs to goal, became a KOPS, became their queen and won Division 3 for Missouri! Not only that but 1 year after joining they elected me leader which I still am. Now they (
 and now Cybertops) are helping me to regain my KOPS status. I am a new, healthier person who is off of blood pressure meds. I plan on staying with TOPS for life and am committed to helping others change their lives for the better just as TOPS did for me.And the moral of this story is go out and Adopt A Highway!!!! When we do our trash "thing" we enjoy the comraderie, the exercise, bettering the community and the good public relations. Not to mention the little pins we get to add to our charm collection.
