OK we'll try...
First Hold handle of poles loosely
to adj length put the tips on the ground at your heal hands comfortably out in
front of you and Your forearm should parallel to the ground, adj poles till it
is.

remember these 2 words "Handshake" and "Pump handle"
with pole in hand reach out as if you were going to shake hands with someone.
Let pole tip drag on the ground. your arm and forearm should be in a pump
handle shape and DON'T flex your elbow keep it in that shape as you walk push
on the pole.

It is exactly like cross country skiing, without skis . let the pole tip drag
on the ground as your hand come up when the tip plants push down as you move
forward. Your arm rotates at the shoulder, and no rotation of the elbow.
Always hold the pole loosely!

That is the best I can do without a picture or DVD.......

I recently ordered the "Exestrider" walking poles from creative
walking
1-800-726-9255 for $59 (same as the price at IRD) with DVD and Book, they
normally sell for $99. A great deal they are adjustable and if you haven't
seen the video you probably aren't useing them right.
Call them say you are from TOPS!

Hey All,
I've been impressed with all the walking pole reports so I shared the
"chats" with my chapter. One of the members had a pair and let me
borrow
them. I've walked 14 miles so far with them and love it. She couldn't
find
the DVD that goes with them so I need to know any important info that might
help me out. Also, she said she gave $100 for the set - is that the going
rate?
                                    Thanks,
                                    Joan Billings
